I'm currently based in Kenya, using Sky Demon for VFR navigation. I'm attempting to add Visual Reporting points and Airstrips to my Sky Demon installation, for use by other local pilots.

I've got the local data for lat/long from various sources, including a comprehensive database of several hundred airstrips supplied by the Aero Club of East Africa, but finding it difficult to convert the info into the degrees/minute/seconds format that Sky Demon requires.

I've researched this Forum, asked SD mission control and hit the internet, but haven't found a solution.

Here are the two formats which I'm struggling with:

a) Lat / Long entry in the KCAA AIP format:

S 01° 19,76
E 036° 52,68

b) Lat / Long in the AeroClub of East Africa database format

S 00°48.100’
E 36°24.700’

Any guidance would be seriously appreciated.
